Kayoko Minami is a dancer/performer based in Brussels. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, graduated from the Nihon University College of Art and started dancing at the Fumie Kanai Dance company. In Japan she collaborated as a performer with choreographers such as Shinji Nakamura, Jan Durovcik, Kimio Nosaka and Pierre Darde. In 2005 she came to Belgium, through the Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artist 2005-2007, and studied at the Hoger Instituut voor Dans in Lier and the École Internationale de Théâtre Lassaad in Brussels. Since then she has worked with a.o. Gisela Rocha, Toula Limnaios, Ugo Dehaes, Randi De Vlieghe, Louise Chardon, Colette Sadler and Mokhallad Rasem.
Kayoko collaborated as a performer to the creation of The seventh floor of the world, carry on installation and distant voices.
